The wind howls in from the West
Carrying leaves from far away places
Settled and swept to further places still
The trees shudder where they stand
Stripped bare by the wind
Hands pluck a leaf from flight
And peer through a hole
Seeing through the day
Through the light
Before the wind takes my leaf
Off to further places in the East
